Show You Ours (New Creative)
-Presenter: The McPherson Team-
This session will share direct mail results from successful
Co-op campaigns and take an in-depth look at what’s working
in which markets. It will also feature ideas for direct mail
tests and new creative designed to lift results and increase
revenue.

11:00-12:00 Maximizing Convio for Better Results
-Presenter: Natasha Barnum, Convio-
Whether you’re an Avocet, a Bluebird or a Crane, the
names given to the three waves of the migration from GetActive
to Convio’s platform, this session will outline the timeline
and details of the station migration, present enhanced capabilities
and strategies and preview upcoming products currently in development.

Acquiring Members in the Mail

From list selection to segmentation, from offer to format,
we’ll explore strategies for lapsed and acquisition programs
in the search for enhancing ROI, increasing file size and finding
the coveted loyal member.
2:30-3:30 Target Analysis Presents their Passion Model
-Presenter: Erin McHugh Saif, Target Analysis-
The Target Passion Model helps identify both major gift and
planned giving leads through data criteria, like age and wealth.
Target Analysis Group updates us on the initial tests completed
using the Passion Model and how effective the tool was for a
variety of organizations.

3:45-4:45 Fresh Address, Fresh Approach to E-mail
-Presenter: Marianne DePalma, EIGHT & Rita Allen, Fresh
Address-
Often called the “NCOA for e-mail,” e-mail appending
and list matching has gained increased attention in the spotlight
from major retailers and nonprofit organizations. Designed to
help build and update your e-mail address database, this session
will explore how these services are being utilized by EIGHT
as a way to reduce marketing and donor acquisition costs while
at the same time increasing revenue through updated member communication
records.

While television is not going away soon, the Internet has
become the mainstream media of choice for a significant portion
of the population. This session explores how PBS is addressing
the ever-changing way in which viewers review and create content
and what affect this will have on stations across the system.

10:15-11:15 Online Fundraising – “Test & Learn
Strategies” & other “Good Practices”
-Presenter: Jeff Regen, Vice President of Online Marketing
& Communications at Defenders of Wildlife-
Defenders of Wildlife is an organization at the forefront of
online fundraising. Jeff Regan, Vice President of Online Marketing
and Communications, will show some revealing results from recent
online tests and share how they have impacted the adoption of
some new “best practices” at Defenders.
11:15-11:45 Digital Giving – How Technology is Changing
Charity
Every day we see how new technologies are changing the way
people learn the news, connect, share stories, pursue interests,
spend money and sound off about their opinions. This short discussion
will share how these activities can determine the success of
nonprofit organizations competing for attention and support,
and will preview a summer book you can’t afford to miss.
11:45-12:30 Capital Improvements – Upgrading Your
Mid-Level Program
-Presenter: Vera Turner, PBS Development & Kay Tuttle,
MPT-
It’s not a secret that a strong Mid-Level program can
be a significant source of revenue and a pipeline to major giving.
In this session, we’ll hear from Co-op stations on ways
to get the most out of your Mid-Level donors and preview the
latest toolkit from PBS Development.
12:30-1:30 Lunch Discussion: Engaging the Community:
Converting More Viewers into Members
A special Co-op member will join us via phone conference and
probe the group with one burning question: “How do I add
10,000 more members next fiscal year?”
1:30-2:00 Stare Down Your Competition – A Peek
into your Members’ Mailboxes and Inboxes
-Presenter: The McPherson Team-
What do your members see when they open their mailbox or e-mail?
The competition continues to grow, so standing out gets even
more challenging. Here is a look at some other non-profit direct
mail and e-mail that may give you some new ideas for testing
back at your station.
